The Long Weekend

 This weekend has been extremely hectic so far. Today is Sunday and I hope to mark some student work in the morning and late afternoon, and then relax with a glass of wine and a movie to end the day.

Thursday was a bit stressful because I had to re-submit some information that had been corrupted after a modification to the system. I evened up finishing at about 7.30 pm which really changed the plans I had.

On Friday I spent most of the day marking student exams. I have 3 course with about 60 written tests to correct and grade and 60 oral tests to calculate grades for. In the evening, I mixed down a song I'm planning to release later today (If I get a chance to make some minor adjustment) or early next week. I try to spend at least an hour on my hobby (making music) each day and longer periods at the weekend if I can.

Saturday was another busy day. I woke up early to watch a football match from the UK online at 8.30 whilst adding up student marks at the same time. My wife, Beatriz - Bea, had invited some colleagues for lunch but lunch turned into an all-day get together and our guests finally left after 10pm. 

We just ate, drank, listened to music and chatted about a million things so it was a really nice relaxed day.

    The past week we have prepare a travel with friends to climbing in “Los Cóndores” in the mountain of Talca, is a beautifull place with nice rocks and waterfalls, but all of them regreats to go because the weather, to warmy for climb, then Elena and I decides to go near to Santiago to the rocks in the afternoon, to evite the temperature. That place is in “Lo Curro”, nice and protected by the forest from the sun.

    That week i have to do many works in the home to automatice the irrigation from the jarden, because we`ll have to go on vacations in a few days. I have to install the controller and weld some pipes, the work is’t finish, but i made the hard part, now y have to install the hoses.

    Twesday i finish some effects for a client, i m stopped with the work, because i’m waiting for some material from them.

    One of my responsability for the trip is to get the international drive licence, for that i have to renew the licence, because is end in 3 days. In wednesday i have to go to municipality of providencia, but the sistem shut down, and i has to go the next day. The same day i go to the hospital to take an examen, i have an injurie or pain in my shoulder for the swiming and climbing, i hope it`ll be nothing to serious, an recover it on vacations.

    On sunday the weather was so hot, we invite some family to sort the warmy day in the pool and made a barbacued to past the day.

 Today I would like you to write about your daily routine. In my case, I usually get up at about 7am. I do a little bit of yoga (about 10 minutes) or Qigong and then I have a cup of tea and read the Guardian online ( https://www.theguardian.com/uk ). Home

 My current home for the last 18 years has been the flat (apartment) I live in now. My wife and I moved here in 2006. We looked at a lot of other places before deciding on this one.  The flat has a living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a loggia. There are 2 balconies with views to the north, the west and the south. At the moment, we use the loggia as a storeroom and one of the bedrooms as an office/studio.  The flat was built in 1980. It feels quite solid. I really like the parquet floors. It's in a nice neighbourhood and is close enough to all necessary amenities likes hospitals, shops, etc. One bad thing about the flat is that it gets very hot in the summer months because of the loft. The heat gets trapped during the day and moves downwards overnight. Also, the kitchen has all the original fittings which are impractical and not suitable for modern needs.
